On 21 November, the Church celebrates the Presentation of the Virgin Mary in the Temple, that is, the total dedication of her life to God and to the following of His Way in her life. So complete was this dedication of the Immaculate Virgin that Christ, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, was born of her. This rather charming detail from a window in St Mary's church, North Stoke shows the Virgin Mary with St Anne, her mother, from whom she learnt to follow and love God.
